Cooking with Love: Valentine’s Day Treats

The class was FABULOUS! As usual Kathy entertained the class with lovely stories about lavender as well as helpful tips on how to create several chocolate based yummies. We got a few pictures of the class to show you what fun it was.

That frosting was awesome! A cream cheese and lavender extract frosting with purple food coloring.. Then she sprinkled it with purple decorating sugar.

On Valentine’s Day we celebrate love. Since love and lavender have been partners sinc
Kathy Gehrt, author of Discover Cooking with Lavender, will share three of her favorite recipes. You will learn how to make Whoopie Pies, Chocolate Semifreddo (an Italian gelato dessert) and Josephine’s Hot Chocolate. e ancient times, please join us for a cooking class in our new kitchen.

Lavender, her secret ingredient, introduces an exotic flavor and absolutely guarantees love. You will learn her techniques, take home her new recipes and enjoy tasting these treats. Kathy will be assisted by her sister, Jean Stewart. They will also demonstrate some fancy ways to package cookies and candy as Valentine’s Day gifts.

The cost of the class is  $30 and is limited to 8 people.
